For those who don't know, RGB Cards is a blog out of Australia. I'm going to do my best to refrain from using lyrics from the Men at Work song. Prior to today I had never received a package in the mail from
In case you are wondering, Australia is around 10,000 miles away from the USA. It's around 7pm Eastern Standard Time here on Monday, while in Australia it is somewhere around 11am Tuesday. Depending on the flight you take, a plane ride to Australia from the USA is around 15-24 hours. Interesting stuff, right? Have you ever seen Australian postage? I hadn't until today.
Another fun fact: zip codes in Australia are four numbers! That beach looks pretty inviting, and probably is worth the flight. Moving on...
Anyway, this is about baseball cards being exchanged, so here are some of the cards I got in the mail today from RGB Cards:
Some Roys and a J-Roll (I ignore the fact that a Met is also on the card).
Another Harry Leroy Halladay III.
Cole is Timeless, and numbered to /999
Thanks for the cards, Jonathan! I have your envelope all set and ready to mail, so depending on the speed of the postal services in our respective countries, you should get it in the next few days/weeks.
I told myself that I should probably refrain from buying more packs of cards until I finish (or start) cataloging the tens of thousands of current cards I have. The more packs I buy, the more work I have. So what did I do? Of course I bought another blaster of 2009 Upper Deck (sucker for a sale!) and a value pack of 2010 Bowman Platinum. I ripped the Bowmans and will do a post on them later.
The Bowman Platinum set has quickly become my favorite 2010 product. I absolutely love the look and feel of these cards. I look forward to buying more...I'm not even going to pretend to tell myself I won't.
Glad you enjoyed the cards. The beaches are worth the trip. I'll send you an email with my new postal address shortly.
