NOT Authorized by Major League Baseball or its Member Teams

Here's 2010 Upper Deck Series 1 Retail Blaster Break.  Target had one box of these left, and it was only $9.99, so I picked it up.  It has a guaranteed jersey card too.  I always feel kind of weird when opening 2010 UD boxes/packs.  Like it's illegal or something, because it's not authorized by MLB.  Makes me wonder how they can use Jeter's picture on the front of the box?  You can't see the Yankees logo but it is clearly Jeter.  Maybe he is under contract with UD regardless of what is going on with MLB.

There were some strange things in this box.  The first thing that made me shake my head is when I pulled these out of the first and second packs:

WTF? Where are the baseball cards?  Why are they wasting a card in the pack with this crap?  Sorry if any of you collect these or anything, but when I buy baseball cards I expect to not see a card with freaking John Mayer and Jennifer Anniston on it.  If I want that I'll buy a celebrity trading card pack.  These are also perforated.  For what purpose I do not know.

I have a thing for die-cut cards.  I really like the Pure Heat above, and the All World is cool looking too.  These were probably the nicest cards in the box, minus the hit.

Speaking of the hit, a Todd Helton jersey card. This is my second Helton relic I own and have pulled out of a pack.  Also pictured is a Russell Martin Supreme insert. 

Would I buy another box of this product? Ehh, I think I might have liked it better to get two rack packs of 2011.  Hindsight is 20/20, and the box was so/so. 

All cards minus the Roy are for trade.  I hope I don't have to break up a fight over the John Mayer/Jennifer Anniston card.
