A Few Recent Purchases

With all the trading I do with all of you fine readers and fellow bloggers, I haven't turned to eBay very much to buy single cards these days.  However, with the card below I couldn't resist.  Check out the really nice two color patch of Kyle Drabek.  I got the card for under four bucks shipped.  Well worth it to me.



The second card I purchased was from I am Joe Collector, who busted a whole bunch of UD Masterpiece boxes and had this nice Halladay game used card up for grabs. I really dig the UD Masterpieces set.

I have this really bad itch to buy a 1/1 card of Roy Halladay.  They are super expensive though.  Some of them are really sweet, like this one:

Ok, especially the card above. I do have another variation of the same card, but of course not the 1/1.  It is a buy it now for $299 or best offer.  Too much for one card, but I can dream.

What are your thoughts on 1/1s?  Do you own some? Ever pulled one?

    The only one I own is a Prado printing plate that I bought. I'd be pretty excited to pull one

    I've pulled one 1/1. A Ryan Church wood mini out of A&G. I don't ever expect to pull another.

    I own one 1/1 of the player I collect most Christian Friedrich. I also pulled another 1/1 of an Orioles prospect that has since been traded away.

    I pulled a 2008 Topps Update CC Sabathia printing plate out of a hobby box a few years back. I also pulled a 2011 Topps Cubs Team magenta printing plate out of hobby box a few months ago. I guess that ain't bad, huh?

    Never pulled a 1/1, but I do own a few. Only one's been posted thus far though. :P
