From East to West: A Rant

Ok, a rant and a realization.

The Rant
The Phillies are on the west coast playing the Padres tonight.  That means the game isn't on until 10:05 here, and won't be over until well after midnight.  How inconvenient for me!  Not only do I have to stay up late, but I have to wait to watch the game too! The horror!  I hope you sense my sarcasm.

The Realization
I need to STFU.  People on the west coast have to deal with this stuff all the time.  I think we have it pretty good on the east coast.  We get to see things on tv first, and the west coast people have to avoid social media in order to not see spoilers of their favorite shows.  On the weekends many baseball games start at 1:05, which means the games are on at 10:05am there.  That's early. On most weeknights, many games start at 7:05, which mean they start live on the west coast at 4:05.  Lots of people aren't even home from work yet at that time.

I think I can deal with a few late night series.

Rant over, Realization...Realized.

  1. I typically enjoy the time zone differences - part of what makes baseball special is the incredible amount of games and all the crazy times for Late Night West Coast games and midweek day games. I love those West Coast Day games that start at 4p here - nice to listen to on the drive home from work or check out during Happy Hour. they are like little prizes in a long baseball season.
