Cardboard Called and Sent a Package

A long time ago Chris from The Call of Cardboard sent me some great cards.  I haven't had a chance to post on them yet to thank him, and show off the cards!

I am in the midst of softball season now...I play fastpitch four days a week, including each weekend day.  If my posts or email replys are a bit farther apart than usual, that's why. Bear with me :-)

So Roy Oswalt pitched today, and got the win.  The Phils beat the Cubs 4-3.  They are now 40-26.  Oswalt improved to 4-4 on the season. In honor of that, here is an Oswalt card that arrived in the package:

X marks the spot on the first batch of cars for my player collections.  I got the base cards of Upper Deck X and die cut cards for Cliff Lee, Roy Oswalt, and Ryan Zimmerman.  Also included was a Zimmerman Xponential insert I didn't have.  Very cool.

Also included was this Chase Utley box topper card from Allen & Ginter. It's bigger than a regular card but not by much. Even so I don't know how to store it because it doesn't fit in a binder.  For now it still resides in its wrapper.
Roy Oswalt hasn't been having the greatest season, but he has kept the Phillies in games.  It's arguable that Cole Hamels is the best pitcher on the Phillies staff right now. And he is 4th in the rotation.
As with most packages I get from fellow bloggers, some Roy Halladay cards found their way in, much to my delight. I love the orange border Topps Chrome card and the one that features Cliff Lee also. Double score for me since I collect both players. I have to update the 442 cards in the Halladay collection, since it is way more than that now.  I am closing on on 500...
The Masterpieces Halladay card is one of the creepiest things I've seen.  It looks nothing like Halladay to me.  The face looks distorted and weird.  Like I said, creeps me out!

Thanks again, Chris.  This was so long ago I really do not remember what I sent you in return.  Or do I owe you something?  If I do and I forgot please remind me!  I need to get more organized and do not mind being reminded.  This goes for anyone I've traded with.  Just shoot me an email and let me know if I owe you.
