The Road to 500: Chrome Group Break

Jeter had his road to 3,000, which he reached in epic style.  Here at the Funner blog I also had a little road I'm traveling: The Road to 500 Halladay cards.  I have reached that number and then some, and here are some of the cards that helped me do it.

Colbey at Cardboard Collections had an all Chrome group break a few weeks (a month even?) ago.   As is customary with older box breaks I chose the Blue Jays, with the hope of scoring some "vintage" Halladay cardboard.  The break certaintly didn't disappoint!
Stadium Club and Topps Chrome. The card on the right really looks 3-D...it looks like Halladay's foot is stepping off of the card.  Cool.
Colbey also included some cards that he threw in himself, separate from the break.  Much appreciated! I especially like the Upper Deck SportsNut Fantasy Game scratch off card.  Oddball cards like that really stand out in my collection.
Must be nice to be featured on a trading card with those guys.
Ahhh! The creepy distorted face Masterpieces card makes an appearance.
Below are some non-Halladays: believe it or not there were other players on the Blue Jays when he was there for 13 years.  I scored some nice stuff, including a Vernon Wells rookie card.
I have no less than 15 or so posts in draft form that are not ready to go, and I have so much more to feature too.  Trades, box breaks, pack breaks, fan packs, etc.  I am finding the summer a difficult time to write in depth blog posts!  Also, if we have a trade in progress or in the works I have not forgotten about you.  :-)

I did head to a card show this weekend and got over 100 single cards, and I bought a Hobby box of Series 2.  Those damn Diamond Giveaway codes lure me in every time!  I'm glad I got the box though, I scored a really, really nice hit.  What was it?  Future posts will reveal that. I'll try to make it sooner rather than later!!!
