Trade with Nomo's Sushi Platter

Michael at Nomo's Sushi Platter just recently posted on the loot I sent to him, so what better time than now to post on the loot he sent to me?
Have I mentioned how much I have come to like chrome cards? I guess it's something about the shine.  Here we have Michael Cisco, Stephen Strasburg, and Roy Oswalt in their chrome glory.  I'm always happy when a Strasburg card makes it into a trade stack.  He, by far, is the smallest player collection I own.  That might be due to the fact that his cards used to be grossly overpriced--didn't a red refractor sell for like $16,000 or more?  I look forward to seeing what happens to his cards upon his return to the big leagues.  Speaking of that, it might happen at the end of August.
The Rollins is one of only a handful of chrome I own of him.  I always like getting Polanco cards to add to the collection, especially since he was so nice when I met him.  The last card is definitely my favorite.  I've never seen it before, and it brings back very good memories!  I am so glad Cliff Lee is back in a Phillies uniform.
Chase Utley has been hitting the ball very well, as have many of the Phillies these days. They are riding a 7 game win streak; it's a great time to be a fan.
Pat Burrell is on the DL right now, and when the Giants acquired Beltran, there was talk that they were going to release him on waivers.  The rumors were unfounded, however, and Burrell remains a part of the Giants.  Watching them play last night, they do not seem like the team that won the world championship just a year ago.  The offense is non-existent.--at least right now.
Clemens and Schilling on a card.  I don't think Schilling ever got caught up in the steroid scandal, right?  Clemens might get really lucky and not have to go to trial due to the mistrial being declared.  That could be huge for him.

Shane Victorino continues to be a spark plug for the Phils.  And the Krukker--John Kruk.  He is going to be inducted into the Phillies Wall of Fame on August 12th.  Perhaps though, he is best known for what you can watch below. It's only one minute long, and worth it in my opinion!

Thanks for another great trade Michael!

  2. I remember that All Star game. The Big Unit vs. Krukker was priceless. Nice haul of cards you got there.
