I'd Rather Just Talk About It

Here at the funner blog it's ok to express your feelings.  I'll get it out and feel better (maybe). Well, right now I am feeling PANIC!
The Phillies have lost EIGHT games in a row.  They lost 2-1 today against the Mets and RA Dickey had a no-hitter going into the 7th.  They haven't won since clinching the NL East.  I will no longer blame this on a hangover.  This is a slump.  Plain and simple.

The Phillies are kind of like this right now:
I don't want to say game two tonight is a must win game, but--tonight is a must win game!  They have to get out of this slump, if only for their morale going into the playoffs.  Joe Blanton starts.  Ugh.

I need to laugh.
This ALWAYS makes me laugh (NSFW language):

Ever tried the Cinnamon Challenge?  These folks did.  Not for people with weak stomachs.  But, made me laugh.

  2. I love random nonsense. Makes for a good ending to a long day. That Cliff Lee and Jayson Werth thing was great.

I remember seeing Tosh.0 do the Cinnamon Challenge. Strange stuff these kids do today. Almost as strange as planking (and the variants thereof). "Look, I can lay perfectly still - something I haven't done since nap time in kindergarten!"

Anyway... They still have a week to get back to business.

  3. I know these games are "meaningless" but this is so painful to watch! I keep telling myself to turn the game off but I can't. It's like a trainwreck.

  4. These games are not meaningless to me.. ok, really, WTF, Victorino bobbles an otherwise easily fieldable ball. This is getting TOO hard to watch, somebody call me when the regular season is over...
