It's tough to think of Bautista in anything but a Blue Jays uniform, but he also played for the Pirates, kids! he wasn't nearly the player he is now though. The Joe Nathan gold bordered serial numbered card is for trade. I can never get the years straight. It's either 2007 or 2008. Or maybe 2009.
Yay a pack of Opening Day with a Jered Weaver card in it! Yawn.
CC looks pretty thin on his card, but my oh my on the mound last night he looked pretty large. It doesn't help that he wears his uniform three sizes too big. The talking heads were saying that he gained back the 40 pounds he lost. He's pretty much always looked the same to me. Just a big athlete, like a linebacker. Except he is a baseball pitcher.
I am getting nervous for game 3 of the Phils/Cards series. I hate when they have to face left handed pitching. Ryan Howard and Chase Utley are pretty much useless against lefties. Hopefully John Mayberry Jr. will pull through at the plate since he is getting the start over Ibanez tonight. And hopefully the Phils win, because this is nothing short of a pivotal game.
The Nathan is a 2006. I have fallen into the repack trap on more than one occasion too, but I did get some good looks at sets I would have otherwise avoided.
ReplyDeleteBTW, you get any Rockies in there?

ReplyDeleteIf we can roust up some more cards in a trade, I'd be interested in Nathan.
