Hoot! Hoot! Hoot! Hoo...Ok I'm Done

Of course these are cards from Night Owl!  I sent him one, yes the only one '75 Lineage mini reprint I had, and he in turn sent me some cards back, even though I told him I wasn't looking for anything in return.  But we all know bloggers are so generous, so I can't say I was surprised.
First off, I really like the purple Bowman Platinum design.  I think they're sharp.  Above we have Domingo Santana.  Who is Domingo Santana?  Well, he was a player to be named later.  Domingo is  no longer a Phillie, he is now an Astro, having been sent to Houston as the player to be named later in the Hunter Pence deal.  Once considered the best outfield prospect in the Phillies organization, he joined Jonathan Singleton--once considered the best position player prospect in the Phillies organization, Jared Cosart--once considered the top pitching prospect in the organization, and pitcher Josh Zeid, who apparently wasn't considered any of those things, but is now an Astro too.  Gosh I hope Pence has a stellar season next year and beyond, considering we are fresh out of prospects.
Ryan Howard.  I'll withold comment, but I'll ask a question.  What do you think is worse: striking out looking to end the season in the NLCS, or grounding out to second base to end the season in the NLDS, and while running to first base snapping your achilles tendon hence possibly missing some of the following season?  I don't know which one I would pick, but neither looks like a stellar option.
Dom Brown might be in the Phillies outfield next year, or he might not.   No one seems to know.  What is known, however, is that this kid is supposed to be a "future of the franchise" type player, and Phillies fans like him alot--mostly.

I'm headed to NYC tomorrow and I'm already antipating all of the Yankees and Mets logos I will have to see.  Although, it might be more Giants and Jets this time of year.

  1. I actually don't see much Jets stuff living where I do in New York. Lots of Yankees and Giants stuff.
