A Contest! It's Anyone's Guess...

No really, it's anyone's guess. 

To celebrate the one year anniversary of the blog, I thought we could have a little fun, and you guys can get the chance to win some cards!  As with my contest before, I like to have more than one winner.  This time there will be two. Your prize?  I have a rack pack of 2011 Update and a rack pack of 2011 Ginter to give away to first and second place.  First place gets to choose which of the rack packs they'd like.  I'm also giving the winners a choice of a game used card, too. In addition, I will throw in some cards of the winners' favorite team/player, and there might be some surprises thrown in too.

The incentive to coming in first place is that you get to choose the rack pack you'd like, and also the game used card you'd like first.  Nothing crazy exciting, but who doesn't want a shot at free cards? :-)

What is the contest?

I'm always asked by non-collectors "how many cards do you have?" And I can never give a clear answer, because I don't know how many cards I have.  One thing I was curious about, however, is how many common cards I have in one particular storage bin.  So last weekend I counted them. All of them.  Here they are in all their valueless glory:

Your mission if you choose to accept it, is simple.   Leave a comment and guess how many cards are in this bin.  The two people closest without going over win the contest.  That is all you have to do.  I thought about giving two guesses for those who pimp the contest on their blog, but I thought better of it.  Of course if you guys want to include a link to the contest on your next blog post I won't complain, but it's not a requirement or anything.

To enter, you need to be a follower OR if you don't have a Google account and can't follow for some reason please send me an email stating you are a reader of the blog.  I have to do it this way so random internet trolls don't hawk the contest.  The point is to reward and thank other collectors and readers of the blog!

The bin is about 11 inches wide and 7 inches tall. 

I'm going to take a screenshot of today's date along with the number of cards in the box which I'll post when I announce the winners.  I'll also post all the guesses and we will see how much they vary.

The rundown:

1. You must be a follower to enter (or email me if for some reason you cannot follow).
2. One guess per person via a comment--guess carefully!
3. Two winners--the two who were closest without going over.
4. If for some reason there is some sort of tie or questionable situation, random.org or a coin flip may be used!
