Upper Deck Future Stars Hobby Box: World Future Stars

It seems from what I've heard regarding my box full of base doubles and triples that I simply got a bad box.  No way I am going to purchase another box of this though, just to see if that is the case.

Here are the some of the World Future Star inserts that I pulled. I didn't get any duplicates of these, thankfully!
Team Japan cards seem to be the ones that book.  The Daisuke Matuzaka books for $4.00, and the Nikosha card books for $5.00.  Not that I'm trying to sell them--just saying.
I'm an idiot and I cut off the names of the players in the scan (shaking my head).  But all in all I did score six Team Japan cards. A pretty good haul.
Brett Willemburg is an infielder for the South African national team who played briefly in the minor leagues.  The Royals signed this kid when he was only 16 years old.  He was also signed by the Pirates in 2009, but his career never took off.
I can find nothing on this dude.
My favorite card from the bunch for obvious reasons.  Chase looked great in a Team USA uniform, but he looks better in a Phillies jersey!
Len made it to AAA--in the Mexican League.  I've got nothing on Pedro, and Adam Loewen was a Blue Jay this past season.  Yay for another name we know.
Nothing on Dempsey, Shairon Martis played for the Washington Nationals in 2009, and De Jong plays in the Dutch major leagues (who knew there was such a thing).
Gonzalez has no info on Baseball-Reference, neither does Yi Feng, or Nan Wang.  What a pretty boring way to go out.

Have a great night everyone! Serial numbered fun is up tomorrow.

  1. Hey Julie! Are you trading the Japan cards?

  2. If I'm remembering correctly, Pedro Lazo's the winningest pitcher in Cuban baseball history, something like 270 wins or so.
