Not Sure How to Feel at This Point

The Phillies lost again. When trailing after the 8th inning, they haven't won a game this season.  To say there are no clutch hitters would be a gross understatement.

The Dodgers are a good team, but one would think that with a starting pitcher who throws 92 strikes in the game the offense could come up with more than one run.  Cliff Lee made one bad pitch and our offense made him pay for it.

Things look like this:

Jimmy Rollins leading off: Pops everything up, doesn't have the same speed as he used to.  Not clutch.
Juan Pierre: Maybe the best hitter right now. And that's saying something.
Hunter Pence: Pence had been 2-for-33 (.061) w/ RISP since May 10 before that hit. But he's 2-for-6 (.333) w/ RISP this month. An improvement, yes, but 2 for 33 is unacceptable.  All he does is swing at first pitches.
Carlos Ruiz: Simply put, the best all around player on the team right now.  Should be the starting catcher in the all star game, but Yadier Molina's name recognition will earn him the starting spot.
Shane Victorino: Probably will be getting traded soon, although his value is pretty low since he is underachieving.
Ty Wigginton: Ty had one good offensive game this season.  Sporadic hitter at best.
Placido Polanco: Used to be a great hitter. Now winds up on the DL for half the season, and is an average hitter.
Freddy Galvis: A great second baseman, a crappy hitter.

Thome's hurt, Utley's hurt, Howard's hurt, Nix is hurt, Halladay is hurt.

This season hurts.
