First, is anyone having a problem when uploading pictures? Every time I upload a picture, it will go to the top of the post, and not where I want to place it in the post. I wind up having to edit html, cut and paste the code and put it where I want it.
Second, I noticed there is a size limit for images. I believe I read it was a total of 1024MB. Well, I am currently sitting at around 1000MB. How do I get more space for images?
Yes, I have looked at the FAQ and I have Googled this stuff, but I didn't get any answers that had easy fixes. Any insight anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
My images were doing that for a while but it fixed itself. I try to place only one image at a time, if that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteYou have to upgrade your Google account to get more space in Picasa. Choose HTML mode, try to upload an image and scroll to the bottom. It will tell you how much space you're using. next to that is a question mark, click that and it will take you to the 'how to upgrade' instructions.
That costs money though, so if you want to be cheap, find another free image hosting service, upload the photos there and then link to the pics.
Not sure how you've almost maxed out, I've been at this almost 6 years and I'm only using about 120 meg of space.
I don't know either. I guess my pictures are too big or something? I was pretty surprised to see it was that high. Thanks for the info. I hope this fixes itself like yours did.
Deleteyeah, what dayf said about upgrading. You have to pay for more space.
ReplyDeleteas to the pic going to the top... I find if I load all of my picsa for that post in the order I want, everything works okay. If i try to load another pic after the initial load, everything goes to hell.
I usually use Photobucket to host my photos since there isn't a limit.
ReplyDeleteI think I am going to go that route too.
DeleteI found that the images were always loaded at the top when in HTML mode. In Compose mode, they load where the cursor is.
ReplyDeleteI had to pay for more space but my blog is heavy on photos and they're large too. Blogger is always buggy. I have one where the curser is at the end but somehow I keep redirecting to the top and have to arrow back down.
