2012 Update Rack Pack: Rookies and Postseason

I feel like with all the Postseason fun that has been happening these past few weeks I haven't posted too much about baseball cards, or shown any off that I bought recently.  I should change that.

This is partly due to the fact that I haven't purchased too many cards in the past few weeks, as I've been more focused on actually going to games and watching them on tv.  Of course there is the whole life and work getting in the way, too.

Seeing as I had way too much money just burning a hole in my pocket, and they were there--I bought a rack pack of 2012 Topps Update.  This seems to be the product all the cool kids have been buying and showing off on their blogs the past few weeks.  I had to join the party.

Here are the rookies I pulled:
I also pulled a few current Postseason stars.  Or at least one Postseason star:
And Octavio Dotel.
What the Giants are doing without Melky Cabrera is great.  I cannot understand why players still feel the desire to take steroids or banned substances when they know they are going to be tested.  To me it is kind of like playing Russian Roulette with your career.  Once a test is positive your name is forever tainted in the baseball world, whether guilty or innocent.  Maybe this isn't fair (in the case of Ryan Braun), but it is the perception of the masses.
