Quietly, the blog has hit 100,000+ page views. Wow! Thanks to all of you who have helped raise that number to six digits. Pretty amazing stuff, and not something I ever imagined when I first started it on a whim!
On to some cards. I still have many posts about the National to get to, this being one of them. Before I start let me say that none of these cards are for trade because they all have already sold on eBay.
I believe it was Friday at the show, I was wandering around and saw some commotion at the Upper Deck booth. There were guys from Dynamics, Inc., a credit card company. To make a long story short, you had to sign up for a credit card and then you got to choose between football, basketball or golf, and you got a pack of UD Infinite cards. These cards are only available to credit card owners and you have to "earn" them by making purchases. You cannot buy packs of 2013 UD Infinite. They are very, very rare.
In fact, a single unopened pack of golf cards sold for over $150 bucks on eBay recently.
This was the wrapper. Black and silver and simple.
Doug Martin, Boise State. All of the players are in college uniforms, which is really cool. The cards are printed on heavy stock and are quite nice.
Dan Fouts, Oregon.
Drew Bledsoe, Washington State.
Dan Marino, Pittsburgh! I was pretty stoked to pull a Marino, but I had no idea that this single card would sell for over $30.
I figured I would show you guys the back of the cards since they are so rare, and I doubt many of you have seen them. The stats mention only their college stats, and show nothing from the pros.
So there are four of the cards, but it was a five card pack...
BOOM!
I pulled a Bo Jackson auto...super rare! It was a big deal when I pulled this. The credit card guys took pictures, and made me recreate the pack opening and pulling the auto so they could videotape it. You'll be hard pressed to find any 2013 UD Infinite autos on eBay. In fact, right now there are zero listed for sale. I do plan on selling this one, but not just yet.
The guy who signed up for a card after me pulled a Jim Kelly auto. He was super excited, too.I cannot wait to get the card in the mail and get more of these. If you are interested in learning more about it, check out this site.
You made a great choice! Congrats on the cards and the big 100K milestone!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the big number and the huge auto. That's ridiculous.
