Hey all! Yesterday the Green Bay Packers beat my Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore. That stunk. The Packers running game was really good, led by rookie Eddie Lacy who rushed for 120+ yards today. He is really, really talented.
I bought into a late night 2013 Topps Finest football group break tonight at Layton Sports Cards. This was against my better judgment, because I have bought into a few other group breaks of Finest with not much success.
Tonight was different.
I got the Green Bay Packers in the randomizer. Insult to injury. Today they beat my team, tonight I get to have their cards be all mine.
But wait! This is good, because I knew there was a shot at Eddie Lacy autos in the case. I've seen them before and they are nice looking. I was hoping I'd get at least one.
I got two.
But not just any base auto patch cards, oh no. The first was a GOLD rookie patch auto Lacy card, #/50. I don't have a picture of it yet, but I will soon when it goes up on eBay. I am having Layton Sports Cards consign it for me.
It would've been great if my luck ended there, but the group break gods had more in store for me. Two boxes later, this is pulled:
BOOM! A two color prism rookie patch auto of Eddie Lacy, #/25! What a beautiful card to get! Pulling this made the loss today a little easier to take. This one will be consigned too...I will let everyone knows what it goes for after it sells!
I have fallen for group breaks hook, line, and sinker. I have gotten the biggest hits of my life in the past few months, and I haven't gone broke doing so.
If anyone is interested in trying out a group break, contact me at perfecthalladay at gmail dot com and I will give you a new user discount code. They are lots of fun and a great way to get huge hits at an affordable cost.
Have a great week, everyone. May your hits be as plentiful as mine were.
DANG!!!! Couple of amazing hits.
