How I Willingly Acquired Pittsburgh Steelers Cards

Good evening everyone!  Most of you who have followed the blog know that my NFL team is the Baltimore Ravens, and I am a huge Joe Flacco and Ray Rice fan, to the point where I PC both of them.  Being a Ravens fan it is pretty much a given that you are required to dislike the Pittsburgh Steelers (not really,  but you know what I mean).  I recall a time when I was at a Raven vs. Steelers game in Baltimore and there were fans in the stands literally burning Terrible Towels.  In addition, my neighbor uses a Terrible Towel to clean his dog after he comes in from using the bathroom.  Terrible Towels really are pretty terrible to Ravens fans.  We don't like the Steelers around these parts. You get the idea.

So when I bought into a group break at Layton Sports Cards the other night I got the Pats/Saints combo spot in the randomizer. There were a few open spots so the breaker (Rich) got the teams left over, one of which was the Steelers.  Rich PCs Aaron Dobson cards and the Steelers are pretty strong in 2013 products and I know Rich loves getting Dobsons, so I asked him if he wanted to trade.  He happily said yes, and henceforth I was now willingly accepting Pittsburgh Steelers cards to enter my home.

Here is what I got:

Landry Jones rookie quad patch card #96/99.
Markus Wheaton Prime Rookies insert, Ben Roethlisberger gold parallel, and Jarvis Jones #171/350.  The rest are boring base cards.  Ok, enough Steelers on my blog.

Rich did pull a pretty sweet Dobson card, and he then pulled a sweet Ravens card and since that was an unclaimed team, he gave it to me since he got a hit I otherwise would've had.  Sweet!  Here is the bonus card I got:

Haloti Ngata quad patch auto, #/200!  Now that's a keeper.

All of the other Steelers cards are already on eBay. If they don't sell...I will probably just give them away :-).
