Tonight I did something I rarely do.
I bought into a basketball break on a whim. I don't collect basketball, I don't know much about basketball cards sans for the big name players, and collecting basketball isn't something I am striving to do.
Rich over at Layton Sports Cards is breaking 2013 Panini Immaculate Collection tonight. He has several case breaks he is doing all night. If you want to watch any breaks, head here. You don't need an account.
There were just a few teams left over for case break 2. After watching case break one, I thought that maybe I would try my luck. The cards are so nice and the hits are really big. After thinking about what team to get (Grizzlies, Hawks, Nuggets, Knicks), I settled on the Knicks for an insanely good price.
I chose well.
Here are the hits I got from the case that just broke.
First up was...
This super sick patch of Amare Stoudamire, #14/16. After hitting this is the first box I was feeling pretty lucky and optimistic about my chances at more Knicks hits.
Next up was this very nice three color patch auto card of Tyson Chandler, #/75. I love multi-color patch cards and having the auto on there makes it all the more appealing.
The last hit was a sweet jumbo patch card of Amare Stoudamire, #/75.
This product, while it doesn't compare to Flawless, does come sort of close to rivaling it. You won't find any diamond cards in this product, but you will find a great effort by Panini to produce high quality auto and patch cards.
Sorry, these aren't for trade...they are going up on eBay. The goal of this break was to turn a profit so I can buy into more baseball breaks! After all, I don't collect basketball, nor am I a Knicks fan.
I was tonight, however.
