Roy Halladay is Kind of a Big Deal

In December when I went to the Philly Show, I bought an advanced autograph ticket to meet my favorite player, Roy Halladay.  Roy postponed his signing, which turned out to not be the worst thing in the world.  He has since rescheduled and it is going to be this coming Sunday, along with Placido Polanco, Jim Bunning, Charlie Manuel, Cliff Lee, Domonic Brown, and Don Larsen. Other than getting pictures of those other guys, I'm only getting Roy's auto. I was tempted to get Cliff Lee's but he's pretty pricey at $109 bucks a pop.  Luckily I got my ticket before Halladay threw the no-hitter in the playoffs, which is a good thing because after that they raised the prices twenty dollars.

What they have posted on the celebrity services website says a lot about the popularity of Halladay in Philly.  See below:

Due to time constraints and the overwhelming demand for Roy Halladay we are sold out of tickets at this time. Absolutely no tickets will be made available on the day of the show.

In addition, we have advertised no posed photography, which will be strictly adhered to. We will have to move the line in an extremely quick fashion for us to get everyone through the line to get their autograph.

Please understand we want to do everything we can to make this a pleasant experience, but it has to be done in a very expeditious fashion.

Thank you for your understanding.

I'll have pics from this event for sure.  I'll also do my best to scan the auto: I was able to buy a nice 8x10 photo to get signed back in December at the Philly Show.

Now, what to say to Roy and not sound like a complete idiot in my extremely limited time getting his auto...
