This Trade was a Real Hoot

Yes, RLY.

No way I am the first one to use that totally predictable catchy title for a Night Owl Trade post, right?  Mr. Owl and I exchanged a few 2011 Heritage cards, and some others.  Great cards are shown below. In exchange I sent him Heritage cards of the Dodger variety, including a Chrome Chad Billingsley.
Due to some trades, my 2011 Opening Day mascot collection is progressing along nicely.  Above is the greatest mascot ever, the Phillie Phanatic.
Oh hey look above.  A Phillies celebration card, kind of like the celebration they had in their opening day comeback win over the Astros.  And when does Doc not show perfect form? The man is a machine.

While I am grateful to have received the Opening Day Stars card above, I have to say that I really dislike the card design.  Frankly, it hurts my eyes when I look at these cards, and I've pulled plenty of them.  Also shown is the Roy base card (duh, right).
And finally, floating heads! My first 2011 Heritage floating head cards, and I like them.  I actually own a few floating head vintage cards too.  They look very similar. All head, no body, floating.  Both cards go into my player collections.  Halladay and Votto.

Thanks for the trade, Night Owl!

  1. That is a terrible likeness of me :)

Glad you liked. Would you believe I pulled those same two floating heads cards a few days after sending those?
