Dear 2011 Philadelphia Phillies,
This season you won 102 games. That's a big number of wins! A franchise record, in fact. Tonight all we are asking is for just. one. more. Remember way back in September when you clinched the NL East title? That was fun, huh? Champagne and beer and new hats and t-shirts and goggles and Hunter Pence acting all crazy and people laughing and smiling and just feeling good in general?
With a win tonight, you'll get to do it all over again!
Let's get right to the point. What I'm asking, what I'm saying--is please win. An entire fan base and city depends on it, because clearly the Eagles pretty much suck.

I really hope Howard wasn't injured too badly on that last out.
ReplyDeleteApparently it is an achilles injury. He is on crutches and will be getting an MRI. I think he and Polanco were hurt the whole series. Not making excuses though. I'm more pissed at the poor managing.
