A Little Redecorating and Some Commentary

If you are a regular or even semi-regular reader of the blog, first, thank you. Second, you probably have noticed a bit of a different look.  I've played around with the header and the colors for awhile, and while I like it, I am not 100% into it, so it might change again.  We'll see.  I am still in the process of changing and/or updating the gadgets on the sides.  That is a work in progress.  When the new want lists and trade lists are up I will let you guys know.  I am also working on a few deals with businesses for some cross promotion.  Funner's going big time (ha).

I thought I would get a few more votes on my poll about Ryan Braun, but only 10 people chimed in.  The poll is still open if you want to vote now.  It is a simple yes or no question. It ended with 40% voting yes, and 60% voting no, in terms of Braun now having a clear name. I think I am so interested in this story because I listen to sports talk radio much of the day.  I have been a Sirius (now Sirius XM) since 2005. I joined for Howard Stern, but over the years I have found it to be so much more. There is some great programming on there, including audio of every single NFL game, every single MLB game, NHL, NBA...you get the point.  Not to mention great music, too.

I don't have anything too interesting in terms of baseball cards to post tonight, so I won't bore you! I will share this, however.  I was really bummed out when I went to look up the Topps wrapper redemption address and I found that now instead of 36 hobby wrappers, you have to have 50.  Or 14 jumbos.  Regardless, all this does is make collectors have to spend more money.  I'll be damned if I am buying another hobby box just to get some redemption cards.  I am hoping that maybe they come out with something different for Series 1 hobby wrappers since this program ends at the end of the month. I am not holding my breath, though. In the meantime I will stroll over to eBay and get the card(s) I am after.  It will be a heck of a lot cheaper than buying another hobby box, that is for sure.
