Cliff Lee Naked on a Panini Card?!

What do you get when you combine an all star pitcher, a baseball card, a MLBPA license, and no license from MLB?  You get Cliff Lee NAKED because there is nothing on his uniform, no logos, numbers, team name, nor any decor.  In fact, Mr. Lee looks like he just went to a thrift store and picked up a baseball uniform there.  I believe those pants can be had in the sports aisle at Wal-Mart.

Of course, this is the case because Panini could only secure the MLBPA license, and not Topps exclusive MLB license (God forbid we have any competition in the baseball card market).  I think I posted on this before, and some of you might have posted on this topic, too.  I even recall a poll being taken.  Myself, I prefer the full uniformed version on my baseball cards, but this is at least a start in getting some variety with baseball cards.  A small start, but a start nonetheless.

Anyway, here is my 2012 Cliff Lee Panini card.  I NEED the Roy Halladay version, and if anyone has it I will trade you something good for it!
A much more attractive card is below.  Here we have a nice Tier One black border #30/50.  I got this and the one above at that card show last weekend.
There is another card show I am going to tomorrow, and this one is the monthly show that I enjoy attending. I'm glad Sunday is supposed to be nicer than tomorrow, otherwise I might beat myself up for spending hours indoors going through boxes of baseball cards.  An outdoor card show...now there is an idea. I'm sure it happens in warmer areas of the country, but we usually still have snow on the ground this time of year in the mid-Atlantic.

By the way, I think the title of this post might make it the most viewed of all time on my blog. Only time will tell.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
