My Favorite Card from the Card Show This Weekend

2012 Topps Michael Morse Gatorade bath SP.  I got it for just five bucks!  Hey, it's not the squirrel card, but it is my first short print pick up.  It's sort of fitting to show it off today, too, since today was the first time a Nats game was on tv this year.  They played the Astros and lost 10-2 or something like that.  But the big news is that Strasburg started the game and looked great.  Good for the Nats, bad for the Phillies and the rest of the NL East.  Bad for my Strasburg player collection too, because the better he does, the higher his card values rise, and the harder they are to find!  That's ok, though.  The whole Strasburg craze awhile back is the reason I got back into collecting cards to begin with.
Just in case you are curious to see the back of a SP card, here it is.  I cannot spot any identifying difference, although it must just be because I have a bad eye for it.  I really want to try to get more of these SP cards from the Series 1 set.  I think some of them can be had on the bay for some reasonable prices at this stage of the game.

Have a great week, everyone!

  1. I got an SP this weekend. Heath Bell Gumballs Card. I'm a little confused as to why it's numbered in the 400's though.

  2. I got the Michael Morse Short Print recently too. Only cost me 1 dollar.
Nice to see that Strasburg is back on his game. The NL East is gonna be a lot more interesting this year.

  4. There is a tracking ID in bold on the bottom RH side of the back of the card. Right before the MLB logo. I think the SPs are different then the base card.
