Dime Box Treasures, Even Though They're Yankees

It is no secret that I don't really care for the Yankees.  Or perhaps it is a secret, since I haven't really talked about it much on here.  I don't dislike them for the novelty of it--after all, they are a very polarizing team.  I've just never really been a fan.  Plus there was that whole beating the Phillies in the World Series thing.

I went to two of those games and watched them beat the Phillies once in Citizen's Bank Park, and I watched the Phillies beat them at Yankee Stadium.

I respect that the Yankees have such a huge, worldwide fan base.  I also enjoy watching good players play, and Jeter and A-Rod are two of the best.  Plus, I think I know decent baseball cards when I see them.

I picked up a few random cards as part of a dime box deal and they've been in my drafts for awhile.  Tonight seems as good a night as any to show them.
I found this nice Jeter T206 mini with a Polar Bear back in the dime box.  I liked it so I grabbed it.
I prefer Alex Rodriguez in the form you see above...pure and clearly unjuiced at this stage of his career.  I also enjoy his older cards to his newer cards, such as the Pinnacle and the Metal above.
Of course Cal Ripken Jr. is not a Yankee (duh) but he was one of the older players I pulled from the box. This card is really unique and the drawing looks nothing like Cal, but I still included it in my dime box lot.

Another reason I had the Yankees and A-Rod on my mind was because he tied Lou Gehrig's grand slam record with his 23rd.  He'll inevitably break it at some point.
