These are my cats.
Cats need food. I went to Walmart to get them food on my lunch hour at work.
Walmart has cat food. They also had unsearched packs of Allen & Ginter. Breaking my own rule, I bought a pack because, well, Ginter is my favorite set.
I usually wait until I get home to open any packs of baseball cards I buy during the day, but these were different. These were opened immediately! (If you look really close you can see part of my Roy Halladay "Doc-tober" pennant hanging in my office).
I've never used the scanner on my desk to scan cards, but I figured what the heck, I'll scan the Ginter cards here at work and just do the post. Needless to say, they scanned black and white, and I didn't change them to color because I think they look darn cool this way.
Imagine the colors yourself. Get creative or something.
The Pena is a short print, #313. The rest are just regular old base cards.
Nothing special about the Jimenez, either.
My mini was a Musical Masters, Antonin Dvorak. I don't know how rare these are, but I imagine not so much. I was hoping for one of those cool gold border retail only minis, but got this one instead.
Right now the Harper A&G rookie is going for way too much money on eBay, considering it isn't even a short print. Maybe once people figure that out the numbers will go way down. A mini sold for $24.99 yesterday.
After having spent the last year or so reading baseball card blogs I am still amazed that no one goes to the store to buy cards. They are usually there on some other errand and..."Oops I am on the card aisle! How did that happen? Well, as long as I am here..."
