Series 2 Inserts, and Other Musings

Within my limited amount of Series 2 acquisitions were some insert cards, of course.  I think I did fairly well with this die cut Nolan Ryan. It's hard to not do well when you pull a Nolan Ryan of any sort.  He has the so ugly it's cool Astros uniform on, too, which makes the card even more appealing to me.

Ok so this Strasburg isn't an insert, but I was glad to pull it.  My Strasburg collection is steadily growing, and I might focus on picking up some nice cards of his when I go to the National.

My National planning is going pretty well. I will start ramping it up in the weeks ahead. I feel I have to go in with a game plan, and every list of suggestions for the National I've read suggests the same thing.  One plan I have is to Tweet a lot of the things I am seeing there daily.  So, if you aren't following me on Twitter and you are interested in seeing cool stuff from the National, please do so @FunnerHere.  

Although my blogging is a bit light this month, I plan to make up for it in spades next month with the massive haul I expect to bring back from my five days in Baltimore.  By the way, me going to the National in 2010 was pretty much a starting point for beginning this blog.  If you haven't before, check out my first post.  I think even I am surprised that the blog has come this far and has lasted so long.
