Series 2 Rack Pack

Life has gotten in the way of blogging for the past two days, but rest assured, I am here!  I have a bunch of draft posts ready to go from awhile ago.  During the month of July things are going to be kind of light, since I am not buying any cards due to the National coming up on August 1, where I will be buying lots and lots and lots of stuff.

The self imposed card hiatus means that I hardly opened any Topps Series 2.  I usually buy a hobby box of Series 1, 2, and Update, but all I purchased was a rack pack!  Here are some of the base cards I pulled.
This Cory Hart card stuck out to me due to the fact that it looks strange color-wise.  Almost like they ran out of bright colors, and the card is white washed.  It looked different from all the other cards in the pack, and I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed this.
Love this Johan card, and I also love the story of the no hitter this season.  Even if the no hitter really wasn't a no hitter.  Those things can go both ways though, right? I'm looking at you, Mr. Joyce.
I think the Royals were expecting Mike to have a better year than he has been having. Their lone All Star representative is Billy Butler.  That should give you an indication as to how the season is going for them.  Not that I can talk, since the Phillies are horrendous.
Speaking of things that are not horrendous, Raul Ibanez is a power hitter for the Yankees now.  The Phillies could desperately use someone of Raul's caliber on the team, but he was released.  The left fielding platoon has been playing pretty well, but Raul's power could have helped out.
Joe Blanton is one of the guys that might be traded before the trade deadline is up.  Despite having an ERA close to 5.00, Blanton has been called on a few times to stop the bleeding when the Phillies are on losing streaks.  He is one of two pitchers on the staff to have thrown a complete game this season.

The other? Kyle Kendrick.
