I Have Returned

Hi guys. I am back from my vacation. I went to Atlantic City, NJ with some friends and had a great time. The weather was awesome for the most part.  There is a huge air show going on today, and yesterday they did a practice run all day on the beach.  Four hours worth of flybys by very loud military planes didn't make for too much relaxing on the beach, but it was certainly a sight to see.
There were all sorts of formations that the planes were flying in, and some were flipping and doing all sorts of crazy things.  Some were flying really low over the water too, adding to the element of danger.  It was fun to watch.

But this is not a blog about vacations and airplanes.  Let's get to some cards!

I haven't scratched the surface of the National haul.  I have lots left to show you guys.
Starting off, I picked up a few gold Jordan Zimmerman cards. I am inadvertently starting a player collection of him.
I picked up this Chipper card for a whole dollar.  This is the second Chipper draft card I have, but it is a huge upgrade.  The corners are nearly perfect.  And for a dollar you cannot go wrong with a future hall of famer's rookie card.
And last for the evening, Brett Lawrie's Heritage card.  This was another card that I felt I needed to get to add to my collection, even though Lawrie's cards aren't going nearly as crazy on the market as they used to.  Some of this might be due to his being put on the 15 day DL as of August 4th for a strained oblique muscle.  Most of it is probably due to the hype surrounding him dying down.

Mike Trout and Bryce Harper get the hyped up players honors this season!  Well deserved, of course.
