I'm Pretty Excited for Tomorrow

As a Phillies fan, I love my team. As a baseball fan, I love baseball. I also love pennant races. And right now in the AL East there is a pennant race for the ages going on among the Rays, Yankees, and Orioles.

Tomorrow night at Camden Yards is Cal Ripken Jr. Statue unveiling night. They are also giving away mini replica statues to all fans in attendance. That in itself is pretty cool. It's also the anniversary of Cal Ripken Jr.'s 2131 game. Even cooler. Add to that a sold out crowd, great weather, and the fact they are playing the Yankees in September in the middle of a heated pennant race, and the whole experience should be quite fun. I anticipate a playoff type atmosphere.

I'll take some pictures and post them here, of course.

  1. Awesome - glad someone is going to that game. I hope to get down there on Sunday and get a look at the newest addition to the sculpture garden.

  2. I've decided that I will be rooting for the O-Birds this year. Let's face it. My team is garbage this year, I don't want the "Empire" anywhere near the World Series, and although he hasn't done much of anything for the team, I'm really rooting for Jim Thome to finally get his ring.
