If the Vikings and Bucs Play on Thursday Night Football...

...and no one sees it, did it really happen?

Does anyone get excited for Thursday Night Football if their team is not playing?

Personally, I do not.  There is something "right" about the vast majority of football games being played on Sunday and Monday.  Thursday night football just feels weird.

I listen to a lot of talk radio and many talking heads seem to share my sentiments.  I guess I just don't understand what the point of having games on Thursday nights is.  I know the games are exclusive to the NFL Network, so I am certain it has to do with money (don't most things?), but I imagine ratings, or lack thereof, do matter.

There is also the fact that the week is quite short for players who just played on Sunday, increasing the risk of injury.

Plus, Ed Reed doesn't like it, and who would want to make him mad?

In other news, if you are on the East Coast like me, the world just might end soon.  Let's all enjoy the World Series games while we can!  Tonight is a pitcher's duel, a stark contrast to Game 1.  Even though I have no horse in the race, it's fun to watch.
