Seeing Red. Lots of Red. And Rain

Good evening all.

Here in the mid-Atlantic we are in the middle of a hurricane. My lights have been flickering on and off for a long time now, so I figured I should post something while I still have internet.  For those not in the middle of this, the best way I can describe what is going on outside is that it sounds like someone is standing on my roof with buckets of water and constantly pouring them out to hit the ground.  The wind gusts sounds like a whistle.  I have been through lots of weather events over the years but this one is quite unique.  And kind of scary.

Yesterday I posted that I bought a box of 2012 Update to open as a hurricane gift.  I got the box at Target and was expecting to get a few red border parallel cards as advertised on the box.  What I wasn't expecting was to get two full packs of red border parallel cards!  Was this some sort of hot box, or is this the norm?  In the past I recall pulling a few reds, but not more than two or three.

This was the result of pack one:
 Three red borders.
 Three more red borders!
 And a gold border /2012.
Love this Reggie mini since he is in an O's uniform!

Pack two:
See all the red?  Six more red borders.
Is this normal for a Target retail blaster?  Or did I get lucky with a fluke box?

If you are in the path of the storm like I am I wish you well.  I'm off to build an ark!

  1. This is how they've been doing the blasters for the past few years, ever since the shenanigans with UPC codes in 2009 Series One.

  2. If the red border Elbert is still around, can we work out a deal?
