Happy Sunday, everyone. I simply couldn't go another day without posting, so here it goes, in all its mediocre glory.
I still haven't posted all of the insert cards I got from the Series One rack pack I busted last week, so here are a few more. Actually, just two.
Lucky me, I got not one, but two A-Rod inserts in the rack pack.
I am not a Yankees fan. In fact, there are few teams I dislike more than the Yankees (the Steelers and Cowboys being the exceptions here), but as a baseball fan I can respect their rich history and their tradition of winning.
I cannot respect A-Rod.
I think in this day and age many of us have become numb to steroid use allegations. We hear stories in the news that pop up and think, yup, there's another one. So few of these players actually tell the truth when it comes to steroid use, it is hard to tell who is being truthful and who isn't. At this point, does it really matter?
I believe where there's smoke, there's fire (I'm looking at you, Ryan Braun). With the scrutiny surrounding steroid use today, why any player would even come close to associating themselves with anything even remotely connected to labs that have a history of steroid distribution I will never understand. The truth always comes out, and even if it cannot be proven, just the mere association with the people at these labs makes the players guilty by association.
But when it comes to A-Rod, I think he is just plain guilty. Whenever I pull an A-Rod card my mind goes directly to steroid use. I don't know what to think. At one point in time pulling an A-Rod card was considered a win. Now I just consider it another pull.
Here are the two A-Rod inserts I pulled: an emerald green and a Chasing History.
Should it be called cheating history instead?
Ick. I'm so sorry.
