I really wanted to get a blaster of GQ, but alas they did not have any. I fact, they hardly had any good blasters at all. It seems like other collectors had scooped up anything worth getting well before I got there that day.
I settled for a rack pack of GQ.
The results? Pretty darn good.
Captain America made an appearance.
The base cards were decent. I love that Jim Abbott is in this set.
Here are the minis I got, all regular back.
I pulled an elusive Sandy Koufax No Hitters insert.
I think Cueto left the game hurt last night. Regardless, here is a Dealing Aces insert featuring him.
In the retail rack packs there are three white border framed cards included. First up was Omar Infante.
Denard Span making a snow cone catch is next.
Last up for the frames is this sweet Cal Ripken Jr. card. The rack pack turned out to be very Orioles centric, which is great by me!
I was stoked to pull this Dylan Bundy rookie. And equally as stoked to pull this Manny Machado Glove Stories insert. The play featured on this card was one of the best I've seen in a long time. The fact that it was done by a 20 year old kid is even more impressive.
Finally, I had a bit of a surprise in the pack. When I buy retail I rarely expect to pull anything considered to be really good, but with this I did.
I'm not sure what a "retail" mini autograph entails, but I'll take it! Would I be willing to trade this? Yes...for the right Phillies or Orioles auto!
Have a great Sunday, everyone.
I'd buy more packs if they were as good as yours.
ReplyDeleteCan I trade for the Alvarez mini?
