I Like Everything About These Topps Hobby Shop Promos

Looks like I am going to be making a visit to my local card shop a few times in the next few weeks.  Have you guys seen these great promos Topps has going on?

I am getting this info courtesy of The Cardboard Connection.

June 10 - 16 - $0.25 Packs of Cards
From June 10 to  16, participating hobby shops have special five-card packs. Inside each pack is one 2013 Topps Archives Day Glow Orange parallel not available anywhere else. Each special pack costs just $0.25.

How cool is this?  Special packs that cost a quarter, and they have exclusive parallels in them!

June 17 - 24 - Trade Your 80s Cards for New Ones
Got a stash of 1987 Topps Andres Galarraga cards cluttering up the house? Topps' second promotion might not help you get rid of all of them, but it can start. Between June 17 and 24, you can trade an 80s baseball card for a special 2013 Topps Series 2 cello pack. Randomly inserted are new parallels and autographs.

I know many of you are like me, and can probably trade in tens of thousands of 80's baseball cards for new cards.  Ones I wouldn't part with: Canseco, McGwire, Bonds...

2013 Topps Archives Baseball Buyback RedemptionsFinally, there is also a redemption aspect. Every 2013 Topps Archives Baseball hobby box has one redemption card. Collectors can trade them at their hobby shop for a random card from the Topps vault. Cards come in a foil pack. They date back to the 1950s through the 80s. Buyback packs are available while supplies last.

The National SuperVIP ticket is in hand.  Now for the flight and the rental car!  Speaking of, are there any blogger meetups that I haven't read about?

  1. Only bad part about this, is I live nowhere near a card shop. Sadness :(
