Hello Sports Fans

Hello all! I am still here, just not blogging much. I am, however, tweeting a lot.  Follow me @FunnerHere if you don't already.

I am gearing up for The National coming up in a few weeks.  Flights are booked, hotel booked, SuperVIP tickets bought, now it's just time to wait and wait and wait.  I have been toying with the idea of visiting Wrigley Field since I am going to be out there while the Cubbies are in town, and everyone I have asked has said I HAVE to visit. So, considering my hotel is two blocks from the blue line, and the VIP party thing will be over by then, I think I am going to try to catch the Wednesday game vs. the Brewers.  That said, if anyone out there has any interest in going to that game let me know, maybe we can meet up.  I won't be wearing any Phillies or Orioles gear, so no worries there.

How about some baseball cards? Collecting continues, and purging is happening as well.  I recently took part in the Crackin' Wax huge ten box break--which actually turned into a twelve box break (long story, not really though), and my team was the Blue Jays.  If there are any Jays fans out there who want some cards let me know...I have a stack ripe for the taking if you cover the postage.

Have you seen the quarter hobby shop Archives redemption packs?  The packs have an orange parallel in them. I went to my LCS and got a bunch:

The scanner made these cards look like they aren't orange, but trust me, they are BRIGHT orange.  Kind of obnoxiously bright.  The best part was that I pulled the orange Roy Halladay for my player collection.  Score!
