Leaf Trinity Baseball

Have you guys checked out Leaf Trinity Baseball this year?  I had never even heard of Leaf Trinity. Admittedly I am still learning so much about the hobby, and about products and sets I have never heard of.  I try to read up on things as much as I can but mostly I just see something, watch it be ripped, and then start to love it.  The opposite happens, too.  For example, I am not a huge fan of Panini Select anything.  Baseball, basketball, football, or hockey.  That said I still bought into a couple of breaks for those products but never hit anything big or saw anything really big hit.  Trinity Baseball?  Just the opposite.

I watched Rich over at Layton Sports Cards open two cases of Leaf Trinity--and I had teams in both of them.  In the first case I took the Phillies, and in the second case I went really cheap and took the Giants. They only cost me $18 to buy in.  I was hoping to hit a Kyle Crick.

The cards that were coming out of these cases were, for lack of a better term, awesome.  Sick, sick, sick patches, clean autos (many on card), and even glass cards with autos on them.  The names coming out of the product were awesome too--Byron Buxton, Austin Meadows, Kris Bryant, Clint Frazier...you get the point. Out of twenty boxes I didn't see a box that wouldn't pay for itself.  There were awesome hits in nearly all of them.  I scored two Phillies hits and a Giants hit--all three of which will pay for the buy ins and then some.

It was Christmas Eve, and I wanted to treat myself, so I had Rich open a single box just for me.  I did really well.  I haven't received the cards yet but I couldn't wait to show them off, so I took some screen shots.

Want to see my hits?
First, here is the outside of the box.  Elegant black and silver.
I got a Hunter Harvey Pure Glass on card auto hand numbered /58.
This was a big hit.  Kyle Crick on card inscription auto numbered 3/3.  This should fetch some coin.
Another nice on card Pure Glass auto, this time of Pirates catching prospect Reese McGuire.
A blue parallel Pure Glass on card auto of Yankees prospect Eric Jagielo, #/25.
I'll leave you with an example of how amazing the patches are in this product.  Most of the patches are similar to this one--at least three color, and some sort of logo part on them.  This one is a Sean Manaea on card patch auto numbered out of 25.

All of these cards should pay for the box I bought and then some.  That's even if I decide to keep the Orioles prospect, Hunter Harvey's, Pure Glass auto.  I am not ruling out buying another box of this at some point, but the price is surely going to rise...

    1. I would highly suggest getting a box, or getting into a break. The hits are really cool looking and the product is loaded.
