Recent Trade Loot

I was contacted about some trades recently, from a few people.  Here is some of the cool stuff I scored from them!

Justin from Twitter (you can follow me @FunnerHere) is a Steelers fan.  In proof that yes, we can all get along, he wanted to send me this awesome Torrey Smith 2013 Topps Triple Threads card.  Even though he asked for nothing in return, I couldn't allow that. Of course I had some Steelers cards that would have a much better life living in a Steelers fan's home.
In exchange for this card I sent Justin a /25 2013 Bowman Sterling Le'Veon Bell, and a Landry Jones jersey card.
Here is the back, just in case you are curious and/or you care about such things.  One thing that stands out to me is that unlike other memorabilia cards Topps produces, this one explicitly states that it contains authentic memorabilia of the player on the card.  I guess that is comforting in a way.
Justin also threw in these sweet Joe Flacco and Ray Rice base cards from the 2013 TTT set.  Thanks for the trade!

Kenny read on my blog that I pulled an Eric Jagielo Pure Glass auto from 2013 Leaf Trinity, and since he collects Jagielo as a PC, that prompted a trade offer.  I sent him that card, plus some other Yankees cards for his collection.
Kenny sent me this very nice Austin Wright auto.
He also sent me a rare Roy.  At first glance this might appear like a regular Roy Halladay 2003 Topps card, but it is nothing like that.  Turn this thing over and...
It's the Japanese version of the card!  I love adding rare cards like this to my Roy Halladay collection.  Even though I cannot translate the writing, I am fairly certain it says something about Roy Halladay being really awesome and the best ever.
Kenny also threw in some sweet Orioles cards for my PCs.
Rounding out the cards Kenny sent me is this nice on card Jesse Biddle Bowman Platinum auto.  I have a decent collection of Biddle autos.  He is considered a top prospect in the Phillies organization and has been invited to Spring Training this year. I am hoping the investment in his autos pays off eventually.

Thanks for the trades guys!

  1. Glad you liked the cards :).

Ironically I found a 2011 Topps Triple Threads Roy Halladay base card at a card show after our trade. Don't worry, I picked it up for you along with some other Halladays and they'll all be yours eventually.
Oh and the Japanese Halladay bio should pretty much the translated version of whatever the original English bio said about Halladay. The key word there is should.
