In the Mail: Trade with Blog Reader Michael

Maybe it goes without saying, but it's worth mentioning again: one of the coolest parts of this whole blog thing are the great people you get to interact with via comments, trades, etc. I really had no idea what to expect when I started this blog, but it's been a blast so far, and it's just starting!

This is the second trade between Michael and I; and I got some really sweet cards out of this one.  I sent Michael a Game Used Ethier (he collects Dodgers), and a whole bunch of Dodger cards, and he sent me a Game Used Joey Votto and a whole bunch of Phillies, Nats, and cards for my player collections.  Here are some highlights:

Did I mention the Votto is a 2010 A&G? Sweet card. And here are Little Roy (Oswalt) and Cliff Lee in Bowman Platinum, another of my favorite sets.

Vance, Chase, and another Cliff. For those who don't follow (or don't care) about the Phillies, Vance Worley started a few games in the big leagues last year, but spent most of his time at AAA.  He does have an outside chance of being the 5th starter, if Joe Blanton isn't traded and/or Kyle Kendrick doesn'tget his s**t together.  In a completely but only sort of unrelated note, I cannot say Vance's name without thinking of "Vance Refrigeration." If you watch The Office you know what I'm referring to.

And three more cards, a black border SP, Big Roy, and J.A. Happ's All Star Rookie. He is now an Astro, he was sent over as part of the trade for Little Roy (Oswalt).

These were some of the highlights of the trade which included more Phillies and more Nats.  Thanks Michael, I hope you enjoyed the cards I sent! I look forward to our next trade.
