And Now for Something Totally Different

Kind of. I was at my local card shop last week and I was thumbing through a box of Ravens cards for .50 cents each. I keeping telling myself I won't  don't collect football cards, but I figured I'd look to see what was in the box anyway. We already know I can't resist a bargain.

So I'm going through and there are a ton of Todd Heap cards, a few Ray Lewis cards, etc.  But then I came across one that stood out, for obvious reasons.

Here's the back of the card. Pretty normal. A 2006 Bowman base card, #98.

And then here is the front of the card, where you will notice the obvious discrepancy:

I did a double-take. Wrong player, wrong team, wrong number.  Apparently all tight-ends are one in the same in the NFL. Way to go Bowman! I spotted the error and I had to buy the card.  I have no idea where I'll put it or what I'll do with it, but at least I have it.  Maybe I'll just start collecting Ravens football cards...

I'm hoping to buy a hobby box of 2011 Topps tomorrow, if I can find one. Otherwise I might have to just buy another rack pack or something. I refuse to buy a blaster when I know I'm going to drop some dough on a hobby box soon.

Other collecting goals this weekend are to put together trade packages for everyone who I have been chatting with via email about trades. I've been slacking so I have to get on it!
