Everyone Else is Doing It

Even though many of us here in North Central Maryland woke up to SNOW this morning, today is still Opening Day.  That said, I notice a trend with all the cool kids (aka you other bloggers) making predictions and whatnot.  I'd like to play too.

So, my prediction is that the Phillies will win every division, even the ones they aren't a part of.  Ha.  Is my bias showing?

Truthfully, I think there will be a few teams that will surprise people, one being the Nationals.  I think the Nats finish ahead of the Mets in the NL East.  Some people think the Mets will be a sleeper team but I just don't see it.

The Braves will be good, and I think they give the Phillies a run for their money.  The Phils have to be healthy on all cylinders for things to go really right this season. In the end I think the Phillies pull it out.

The Orioles will win more than 66 games this season. They will also be more fun to watch (funner, if you will).

I think Votto and Chapman have even better seasons and the Reds finish first in the wide open NL Central.

I believe the Pirates will lose over 100 games.  Again.

I think it will be a close race for the NL Wildcard with the Rockies edging the Braves.

The Yankees will make the playoffs (sigh).

The Giants will be good again.  The Rangers will not be as good again.

It will be a fun season, but that's an easy prediction to make.

I wish your teams well as long as they are not facing the Phillies. :-)
