In Honor of the Ravens Win Today

The Ravens are now 9-3 after their win against Cleveland today, and they are tied with Pittsburgh for the best record in the division.  The good thing for the Ravens, however, is that they won both games they played against Pittsburgh, so they win the tie-breaker.

Even though baseball is my thing, I did start collecting Ravens only football cards this past year, in particular Joe Flacco and Ray Rice.  I'm also adding Torrey Smith to that mix, along with any oddball cards, autos, serial numbered, etc of any Ravens.  So if anyone has any Ravens they want to trade for I'm game, although I could only trade you baseball back since I pretty much have no other football cards to trade.
The cards I am featuring here were picked up at a show awhile ago.  Nothing really special, but they were interesting to me.  Ray Lewis has missed the last three Ravens games with turf toe, but the good news is that the defense has been holding their own without him, having won the last three games.  I love the 2011 Flacco base card, but I don't think a card of him diving shows his true playing personality.  Flacco rarely dives.  He is poised and calm under pressure.
Even though Jamal Lewis isn't on the team anymore, he used to be a big part of the Ravens. Because I liked it, I picked up the card above, and also got the 2011 base team card which features Flacco and Anquan Boldin.
I've said here before on the blog that game used and football cards always seem so much nicer than many baseball cards, and the /699 on helmet auto card above is no exception.  Demetrius Williams played for the Ravens as a wide receiver for from 2006 until he was traded to the Browns in 2010.

I hope everyone had a good weekend!
