Did You Hear That? It Sounds Crinkly.

First, congrats to Derek at Tomahawk Chopping for winning the Braves vs. Phillies series.  Tomahawk 2, Funner 1.  I bet him a pack a game...let me know what packs you would like Derek!

We won't mention that even though the Braves won two games, they struck out a total of 29 times in three games, including a 16 strikeout gem by Cliff Lee.  Wait, yeah, we will mention that.

What we will not mention is that the Phillies scored a total of 5 runs over three games and they can't hit to save their lives.  How much longer does "but it's still early in the season" apply?

Ted at Crinkly Wrappers holds the esteemed distinction of sending me my first Gypsy Queen Phillies cards.  Congrats Ted on this amazing honor.

I can't begin to tell you how stoked I was when I saw the cards in this bubble mailer.  Super, super cool.

Holy crap, part of the package contained retail exclusives of all colors! Red for Target, blue for Wal-Mart, and another Wal-Mart exclusive.  Also, my first Zimmerman Gypsy Queen was included too.
I did a double take when I saw the mini Sepia Gypsy Queen Roy Halladay.  First, how awesome is it that Ted included this in my envelope, next I thought, how awesome is was that the card is numbered 99/99.

And just when I thought it couldn't get any sweeter, this black border Howard and Hamels card appears, numbered 22/59.

The Opening Day cards go towards the sets I am trying to build, the Presidential First Pitches and the Mascots.  I'm close.

Thanks so much for the cards Ted.  You went above and beyond and I'm super appreciative.  I hope to have some more nice Blue Jays cards to send your way soon.
