Tomahawk Trading

I'm always so happy to unload my Braves cards.  Mets too, but Braves more.   I am pretty sure Derek at Tomahawk Chopping enjoys unloading his Phillies cards just as much.  This mutual liking has led to some sweet trades between he and I. 

Below are some cards Derek recently sent me. The Roys below are sweet, but of these I have to say my favorite is the card of Little Roy in his All Star uniform.  He looks about 10 years old. 


My Kyle Drabek collection is sloooooowly growing.  I was in dire need of this card, though.  Great thanks for sending it Derek!

Oh, hey, how appropriate! The Phillies and Braves start a three game series tonight in Philadelphia.  Clifton Phifer Lee takes the mound for the Phillies and Derek Lowe throws for the Braves. 

I've thought of some friendly wagers...perhaps the winner of the series sends the other a pack of cards of their choice (I'm thinking $2.99 pack cap).  Let's see if Derek reads this post prior to the game tonight :-).

    Wanna do a pack per game, I'm in.
    2.99 cap sounds about right.

    I probably shouldn't start betting until tomorrow, but hey, I'll assume that D. Lowe saves the drinking for the celebration later.

    Hmm...I was thinking more whoever wins the three game series would send the other a pack. We can do the same thing for other series if you want. Not trying to break our card budgets! I thought a friendly wager would be fun :-)

    Maybe Lowe will pitch better drunk? I just hope he takes a cab to the game!
