Depends on what you want really. Say you want some series 2, if you want mostly base cards, go with the $9.99 hanger packs of 72. They give the most base and have usually one of each insert set. Blasters will have more inserts and less base but thats because you have more packs and packs tend to have 1 to 3 inserts per pack. Although if you get it at Wal-Mart you have to deal with those pesky black cards. The rack packs are almost the best bet at 5 bucks for a good bunch of cards. Thats only if you want series 2 though...
There's a show tomorrow so I'd probably wait until then. But ignoring the show, I'd hit up Sportlots or COMC and try to finish some sets. For instant gratification, I'd probably pick up some series 2 rack packs if I couldn't find any fun discounted blasters.
Thanks for the comments! I was looking for some ideas on what to get, whether to go with rack packs, singles, blasters, etc. I got ten packs of singles of Series 2 and two packs of 2007 Bowman. I looked for a discounted blaster but all they had was UD Series 1...and I'm over that product. I said "no Bowman" because I've decided that unless they are super cheap I'm not buying any more of that product!
Singles. I've got about 12 team sets that are only 1 oe 2 cards away from being finished including some vintage goodness.

ReplyDeleteI would probably follow Ryan G and try to find a discounted blaster. I always feel better when I get something on the cheap.
ReplyDeleteIf it had to be today, I'd raid COMC for pre-1980 stuff (again).

ReplyDeleteeBay for cards of my three main PC guys. Or vintage Dodgers. Or both, if things fell right.
