Topps 2010 Baseball Value Box

I rarely go to Wal-Mart, but when I do, I always check out what boxes they have.  It's the offseason, so there are lots of football card boxes and rack packs out there, but still some baseball mixed in. Wal-Mart has their exclusive Topps 2010 Baseball Value Boxes for sale, and they had three of them left. I wanted to buy all three, but considering I have bought three or four of these boxes in the past, I settled for one. For $14.99 you get six packs of 2010 Topps Series 2, one pack of 2010 Allen & Ginter, one Million Card Giveaway code card, and one "exclusive" chrome refractor of either Cal Ripken, Babe Ruth, or Stephen Strasburg. I already have all three, so I didn't really care which card I pulled. For the record, I got another Ripken.

The Million Card Giveaway has enticed me to buy many packs of 2010 Topps. I've unlocked some really neat, old cards (which I'll discuss in another post).  I've yet to pull a really good insert from a 2010 Series 2 Topps pack, but I have pulled a few numbered cards.  In this box I got this:
Up for trade, for any Dodgers collectors, if you have a numbered card of any Phillies.  The front of this card is gold. I also pulled the base Russell Martin, and a pretty cool Turkey Red Yogi Berra card.
The A&G pack didn't yield anything great, but I really, really like the brand.  I think the artwork on the cards is really cool, and where else can you pull a "revolving door" card?  I managed to get a This Day in History Matt Holliday card from this pack, but the mini was nothing notable.

Nothing else really of note from the box, but it is a pretty good value, considering the price of single packs, and the fact that you get a Million Card code for sure. I actually managed to pull another code, so I unlocked two cards.  I'll probably buy more of these boxes if I can find them.
*I have about 10 of these Werth cards, it's a shame this might most likely will be his last card in a Phillies uniform. I just wish they would have captured the essence of his beard.
