If you want to find out when your team reports, plus lots of other information on Spring Training for the majors and minors alike, head over to www.springtrainingonline.com. That's where I saw that most teams report their pitchers and catchers around the 20th of February, but one team stands out.
The Seattle Mariners have their pitchers and catchers report on February 11th. Their position players report on February 17th--a good five or six days before every other team. Interesting and perplexing at the same time. I guess they do need the practice though...just sayin'.
You couldn't be more right. We need lots of work just to have a sniff at .500 this year.
